KAMS Adopts IFS Cloud to Optimize Operations and Enhance Asset Reliability
The ERP and MRO solution from IFS Cloud will empower the Kongsberg company to enhance automation, thereby improving efficiency and establishing enduring resilience and reliability for its assets in the long term.
IFS, the global enterprise software company, has revealed that Kongsberg Aviation Maintenance Services AS (KAMS), a prominent provider of maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services in the aviation industry for both military and civilian entities, has chosen IFS Cloud to enhance operational efficiency and establish long-term resilience for its assets.
The utilization of IFS Cloud will empower KAMS to enhance turnaround time (TAT) and reduce costs, facilitating business expansion and attracting new customers.
Benefits of Implementing IFS Cloud
The extensive features of IFS Cloud will also support KAMS in refining processes to boost productivity, enabling improvements in resource allocation, sourcing, planning, maintenance execution, and financial reporting.
Furthermore, the implementation will automate KAMS’s order-to-cash process, covering customer quoting, planning, maintenance execution, and invoicing, thereby eliminating operational silos and manual labor.
Andre Jægtvik, Acting President at KAMS, said “We look forward to partner with IFS utilizing their technology in the years to come. Our industry is rapidly changing with the introduction of new technology, and we must change with it.”
Details of the IFS Cloud Suite Implementation
KAMS is preparing to implement a comprehensive suite of IFS Cloud modules, covering maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO), supply chain, projects, procurement, finance, CRM, and health safety and environment (HSE). Upon full deployment, IFS Cloud will cater to the needs of 500 users across four sites in Norway. CGI, an alliance partner of IFS, will contribute to delivering the implementation.
Ann-Kristin Sander, Managing Director Nordics, IFS, said: “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with KAMS. They are not only key suppliers to the Norwegian Air Force, but they are also playing a vital role in growing NATO’s production defense capacity. At a time when the wider aerospace and defense market is undergoing rapid growth, IFS Cloud will be helping KAMS to produce more flight hours with effective operations at a reduced cost, which will in turn increase the Air Force’s availability for NATO.”
